Starting and running a home furnishings store since 1989 is a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit of Mrs Rashmi Gupta (70+ yrs old) whose determination and the ability to keep the brand relevant has been unwavering.

For a woman entrepreneur to start her career journey in 1989 with two children aged 3 and 13 and starting a 250 square ft , corner (2 side open) retail store- Arushii in Kamla Nagar, Delhi has not been easy.
Her initial steps were bold and filled with uncertainty, yet driven by a vision to create something meaningful. What makes her journey remarkable is the support and encouragement she received from her husband- Late Dr Arun Gupta. His belief in her abilities and fierce support played a pivotal role in fueling her entrepreneurial aspirations. Mrs Rashmi Gupta is a Masters in arts, a gold medalist in academics in school and college from Meerut.

Her formal education in arts and understanding of design helped her carve out a niche for her store. The corner store in Kamla Nagar quickly became known for its unique blend of quality and specialty products, their personalized service and a welcoming atmosphere.

Over 30 years, the store evolved with changing trends and customer preferences. From a small start-up to a thriving establishment, it became a testament to her resilience and adaptability in the face of challenges. The closure of the store in Delhi post covid due to personal considerations marked the end of an era in 2021. However, this  journey doesn't conclude with the shuttering of physical doors. Instead, it evolves into a story of resilience and innovation as she explored new ways to keep her brand alive with her daughter Mrs Nandita Gupta Singh ( Masters in Design from NIFT New Delhi / 10+ yrs of work ex with start ups) who joined hands with her in the modern landscape in 2023.

Through taking part in  exhibitions aggressively in 2023 and whatsapp marketing they curated their products that not only showcased their unique collection but also provided a platform to engage directly with loyal customers and attract new ones . The starting of their e commerce store in 2024 becomes pivotal in reaching a pan India audience for the mother -daughter duo.

Through a carefully curated  platform, they would like to continue the journey by sharing stories, brand authenticity and exceptional relationship management. Their commitment to curating exceptional quality craftsmanship products, transparent and consultative selling, post sales service and a passion for creating beautiful homes sets them apart.

In the frame is Mrs Rashmi Gupta’s granddaughter: Ms Tarini Singh who keeps their spirit high and brings in joy & creativity to their craft. The duo has two strong men behind them - Mr Vinayak Gupta (Mrs Gupta’s son) and Mr Rajat Singh ( Mrs Nandita’s husband) who instilled the belief of keeping the brand alive in disruptive ways.
